Trail Run & Hills PinkStrong Clinic | What Should Athletes Expect?
Expect to see a lot of different ladies wearing tennis shoes at Champion Dino Park! Expect to see both novice runners and experienced ironman athletes. Expect to see people of all sizes, ages, and outfits. This is a free clinic open to all (RSVP required) and designed to support athletes in attendance who are part of our club, registered for our PinkStrong Duathlon or PinkStrong Triathlon . There is no dress code or required speed/effort. Come as you are and do what you can.
All paces, runners, walkers, skippers, joggers - welcomed - period. Seriously, RSVP & come out and run/walk with us, snap a few selfies on the trail, and meet some new fit friends or reconnect with old ones. Running shorts/tights/skirt Sports bra Water bottle or fuel belt for the run Running shoes 5 Optional Items To Consider: Sunglasses Race Belt (to practice running with) Hat or visor Watch Nutrition (to practice running with) What is Covered in the Run Clinic? Coach Airon and PinkStrong Duathlon Ambassador Shannon will lead us through a basic run form demo and share best dynamic pre-run movements. We all start out as a group on the first 1/2 mile unto the main Brushy creek trail and head towards Dam 7. The total workout should cover about 3-4 miles. We will have runners, joggers, walkers and interval run/walk athletes - so go at your own pace, do what you can and there is no pace goals, or target mileage required of participants. Parking & Meet Location: Workout & Trail Route Maps Warm up and Run/Walk to top of Dam is approx 1 miles. One Hill Repeat is approx .25miles. Suggested Hill Repeats - 2- 3x We will be at the top and bottom of Dam for support to share run tips and best practice on techniques on hill accents and fast descents Breaks are encouraged between repeats.
